Read was a great place to live as a freshman. It was a great way to make new friends, while still being able to study. The en-suite bathrooms were definitely a plus too! The cafe was also the perfect place to get a snack and Forrestβs dining hall was right across the street for a meal.

I greatly appreciate the location of Read Residence Hall as it is very close to my classes, all of which are a 15 minute or less walk away. Additionally, being able to have your own half bath is very convenient. Lastly, the dining hall is an extra bonus and offers a good amount of options based on its size.

It is a very nice area and the dorms are perfect size! I met many people who share similar interests to me here, so it has been good! There are also living and learning centers. For example there is a Fine arts hall and this got me connected to many people who shared similar interests as me! There is a dining hall in the building as well as multiple laundry rooms. There are also many practice rooms and a dance studio!

It was a good dorm with a great location for Jacobs students. The communal bathroom did tend to get dirty but that was due to the students mostly. If people were noisy around you you could definitely hear them but thatβs pretty typical.

It was a nice dorm to live in, I enjoyed the shared half bathroom so you didn't have to leave your room at night to use the restroom. I lived on the music floor so it was probably a little louder than usual.

Since it is by the school of music, most of the students play instruments which can cause disruptions at random times in the dorm. But it is mostly quiet and the students don't really make a ruckus or be chaotic. The food is average, although the breakfast here is the best.

Read is a very strict freshman dorm, but it is one of the nicest and cleanest freshman dorms on campus. I have met and enjoyed many RA's. The front desk is very helpful. There is also a restaurant in the building on days you do not want to get out.

The rooms are quite large and come with lots of storage. Each room comes with a half bath (toilet and sink) shared with the person next door. This was great for privacy and doing dishes. The bathroom with showers is located down the hall and was kept fairly clean.

When I moved into the dorm was completely cleaned and ready for my arrival, which I respected. The location of the dorm is great on campus, there are many places to go that are easily in walking distance, and many food options as well. I have never had a problem with the staff or any other residents at Read.

Read Residence Hall was my residence for my first year at college and it was a great experience. With so many amenities and a dining area on the first floor, I was able to grab a bite to eat and even find a job in the same building I lived in. Overall, a nice spot and great location in close proximity to most spots on campus.
