Johnson Hall Dorm Reviews at Kent State

Johnson hall is a fairly nice dorm; however, maintenance is lacking in kindness and care. In addition to this, the common spaces are not very inviting and feel very dull in a time when students could need a more fun and inviting environment.

Johnson hall is an honors hall. It has air conditioning, private bathrooms, and an included microwave/fridge with cost. The location in convienent and helpful to aid my academics. I recommend this dorm to anyone applying for housing at Kent state.

It was an honors dorm so it was super quiet and clean. The other people living there were friendly and the staff was super kind and helpful. I also really liked that my roommate and I got to have our own bathroom and that our room had AC, since not all the dorms have that.

It’s a bit of a walk from the rest of campus. I also wasn’t expecting so much interaction between the other girls. It’s less “intense” as Printy or some of the other dorms, but it was a little hard to get used to at first. The only bad thing about the construction of the dorm is that the ceilings have been falling apart, other than that and the laundry makes your clothes smell funny, it’s a good place to live. It has community and is isolated from everyone else at the same time. And you get your exercise in since it’s a fifteen minute walk to anywhere.

My experience in Johnson Hall so far has been very well. It’s very quiet and the people are very nice. They help you when you don’t understand something. It’s always full of positive vibes. This is what I like the most about it.

I've been in Johnson Hall as a Resident Assistant for 2 years bow, It's been great to have known all the people that I did and have had an opportunity to work with them. The Senior Staff is great and so is the custodian staff.

Living in Johnson Hall as a freshman was a great experience. It is an Honor's hall so it was very quiet and there were lots of private study rooms. Each room had its own bathroom that was cleaned by staff weekly. It is also located in a central area of campus close to the Student Center and Library.

It was an interesting first year the major problem I had with the bathroom is that there weren't enough stalls on my floor. The one thing I liked that my floor at least was for the most part quiet but I also enjoyed how nice everyone was. Overall I think it was an interesting experience to have my first year.

Overall clean dorm, have to share a bathroom with 5 other suite mates which can be a huge deal breaker if they are complete strangers. The staff was very welcoming and helped with any issue that would arise.

Johnson hall is relatively quiet and clean. There are times where people yell and play music loudly but RA's are somewhat good at making sure everything is clean and nice for all students. It is an honors dorm so students do seem to care more about academics compared to other dorms.
