Haymaker Dorm Reviews at K-State

I am a CA at haymaker so I work the front desk and talk with the staff more than an average student. Haymaker is the most active dorm on campus so there are shenanigans a lot if people aren't comfortable with that don't choose Haymaker.

It was interesting to say the least. The elevators were broken half the time. It was close to most of my classes being an ag major. But certain floors are worse than others, I enjoyed my floors community.

When I first entered Haymaker hall the first thing that I noticed was the smell. A strong smell similar to mothballs with a hint of sweetness although after a while you become accustomed to it. The building is quite apparently old and in need of remodeling. The elevators seem to go out quite constantly for weeks at a time. The building is on the very edge of campus therefore it is quite a walk to the rest of the university. The staff is quite friendly and polite. The community bathrooms were always kept clean during the work week however do take into account that the cleaning staff does not work during weekends and that is plenty time for the bathrooms to be disgraced.

So far, my experience at Haymaker has not been bad. There have not been any memorable events and there is someone who cleans the bathroom Monday through Friday for an hour. Although you can not use the bathroom for that hour it is better than cleaning it yourself.

Overall experience has been great. There are. Times when it's noisy, but it's clean and in a great location to my classes. Everyone is pretty friendly. Did not have problems with roommates either which is great as well.

It was amazing. Haymaker is a building primarily providing sleeping and residential quarters for large numbers of people such as boarding school, high school, college, or university students. Traditional rooms generally have a twin size bed, a desk, a closet, and a dresser for each roommate.

It's okay, I was not expecting much from dorm life, and living in Haymaker meets my expectations. It's not the nicest place to live but it is all a part of the college experience! It could use some renovations as some features are getting quite old and the furniture could be updated.

I lived there my freshman year and it was an amazing experience. Normal college noise level, especially after games, but it was no big deal. Everything was kept in order and maintenance was very responsive.
