Living in a college dorm was fun but Ellsworth was great! I lived on the top floor. I met so many great people on my floor and they had getting to know parties for the freshman so we werenβt alone. Each floor has communal bathrooms and a nice common area where we could watch tv or study

I loved my experience in Ellsworth. I think it is a perfect place to live during your freshman year. I met a lot of people through Ellsworth and my floor had a great sense of community. My RA was also amazing. As for the negative aspects (though I'm sure a lot has changed with Covid), the bathrooms on the weekends were often filthy because people would go out on Fridays, get sick, and the bathrooms would not be cleaned again until Monday. However, this was the same for all the dorms on campus and I imagine is pretty consistent across universities as well. Aside from that, I think Ellsworth is a great place to live.

This is my first year living in Ellsworth and I think it is great. Honestly I am so surprised living here that these are the conditions, which I wouldn't even call them "conditions". The rooms are very nice, can get quite cold or hot sometimes, but it's not too bad. The bathrooms are quite small. I have a private bathroom, but it is still nice. The shower is very small, just have to work with it. But the community bathrooms are very nice, I have gone in there several times. I would recommend living in Ellsworth to anyone, it is also very cheap, and this is very all the freshman live. Everyone I've met so face is extremely nice, and the RA's are super helpful and friendly and I feel I could turn to them if I needed help. The lobby area is nice, great view from my floor. The study room is super nice, but people are always in there. There is a whiteboard in there to write on if needed.

It is one of the more friendly dorms on Daisy Hill. A perk is that it is closest to the parking lot, but a downside is that it is farthest from Miss E's dining hall. It is one of the older dorms, so it is not the cleanest and not as modern as the newer halls. However, compared to other halls of the same price, Ellsworth is quite hospitable.

I loved staying at Ellsworth! I met a lot of great people there and the staff was always super friendly. The conference rooms and common areas were always kept clean and the RAs constantly checked in on the residents.

I have lived in the Ellsworth for first semester so far. I am living in a four person suite with three other girls. The room is honestly very big. The living area is a very nice area that is very roomie. The bathroom in the suite is quite small. The shower is very small. The plumbing is good, we have had some problems throughout the semester, but have gotten fixed. I have used the community bathrooms before, they are quite nice. No problems or issues. I have had some issues with noise before, the walls and floors are slightly thin. Our RA is super nice, she is just doing her job. The lobby is a nice area. Great place to eat sometimes and watch TV sometimes. Study room is great, a lot of people study in there. Elevators have issues sometimes, but using the stairs are fine.

My experience at Ellsworth has been good. Everyone in the building is so nice. The staff makes you feel comfortable and the other residences are always down to have fun. The walls are thin, you can always hear the people in the hallways. Although the building is a bit far from campus, you can walk the 10-20 minutes, or there is a bus that will take you all over campus and Lawrence.

This is my first year living at Ellsworth. Move-in day was super easy. There were other students and staff helping out, super friendly, super helpful, and very informative. I am currently in a four person suite. There is plenty of room on each side of the bedrooms for each person. The bedrooms are a good size and have a decent amount of floor space even though it is small. The living room is a great size and is very nice. The bathroom is quite small. It is sometimes hard to shower because my arms and legs numb the walls sometimes, but I get through. The community bathrooms are very nice. I have used them sometimes. Very clean too. The lobby area on our floor is nice. I watch tv out there sometimes. It is very roomy. The laundry room is a bit dirty. The floor is usually wet in spots, and the washers have some gunk on the edges sometimes. It is also hot down there usually. The elevators are dirty too most of the time, but the stairs are fine. The stairs temperature is cold on the 3rd floor but hot once up on the fifth floor. But clean. I am having a good experience here and would recommend for freshman. There are boys on one side of the hallway and girls on the other. It is not a problem. The doors are very thick but the walls and ceiling not so much. I can hear the people above me everyday, but I think it's more on them not the ceilings.

I lived an Ellsworth my freshman year. It is one of the cheapest dorms on campus. I lived in the handicap room, which came with its own bathroom, unlike the other rooms. People are always going in and out of the building. It can get pretty noisy, especially on weekend nights. Overall itβs a cute community but not my first choice.

Im currently a freshman at KU staying at Ellsworth hall. I do love to the people and the atmosphere here. It is a fairly well kept building. The bathrooms are always clean. I will however, admit that the walls are thin here. Much can be heard from the hallways and if your you upstairs neighbors jump to move around in their rooms, then don't plan on sleeping in.
