Unitas Tower Dorm Reviews at U of L

It was a unique experience. The dorms are traditional style which wasn't the greatest. No one on the floor really spoke to one another nor was there floor activities done for community building. The actual rooms were a decent size and the layout wasn't to bad. The windows do not open in this building.

Unitas is a traditional hall at UofL so the bathrooms are communal. I figured it would be dirty and gross, but there are people who come and clean the floors twice a day. My floor is relatively quiet, but the doors are super heavy so they will slam through out the day and night. It is a fine dorm compared to others, the rooms are a fine size and the bathrooms are alright, but there are definitely issues with the laundry room and elevators.

Unitas Tower is a freshman dorm, so of course it's not going to look as good as some of the other dorms, but this is a decent and affordable option for freshman housing at the University of Louisville.

As a School of Music student, it is HIGHLY convenient to be able to walk right out the door and to my classes or practice sessions. It is also very easy to get to any of the food locations on campus from here as well. Any complaints I would have had about Unitas at the beginning of the semester are long gone as I have personally learned to work around them. I do know some people will complain of mold but I believe it’s fairly under control, and to be expected of a dorm that has been around since at least 1970, as far as I know.
