Fordham Hall Dorm Reviews at Loyola

My experience in Fordham Hall has been really good, there isn't much to complain about. Every dorm has their own kitchen and bathroom. There's plenty of space in the dorm rooms. The hall itself is supper clean and there is staff working 24/7 at the front desk.

Fordham hall is a great dormitory, offering quad apartments, studio doubles, and a one bedroom double. Each room has a functional private bathroom and a small kitchen area with a fridge and stove included. You are guaranteed a great view, whether you're facing the street or Lake Michigan. Location wise, Fordham stands west of the main campus, making it about a ten minute walk or less to get to classes. There is a laundry room located on the fifth floor that is open to all residents. One flaw within the building is that the stairs are only for emergency use only. Residents can access the stairs from floors 5-16 (floors 2-4 are not accessable to students). To exit the building, you must take one of the three elevators available. Another flaw is that there is no lounge area on any floor. If you find yourself to have any issues within your room or something breaks, campus maintenance is always there to help!

The lack of elevators makes it a very long process moving or getting in and out in general. You have a private bathroom and small kitchen and wonderful views. The front desk people are usually nice especially the late night folks

Great views, spacious apartments, and nice kitchens. The blinds are really bad at keeping light out. The common space of the apartment does not have lighting, so it is dark when natural light is absent. Fans are very noisy.

Fordham is extremely similar to an apartment with in unit bathrooms and kitchens which is really nice! It's right next to the train so you have to be prepared to hear it once in a while. And the lighting isn't great within the rooms so you need to bring floor lamps or desk lights. Your dorm will face either the city or the lake but both views are great for sunrise and sunset pics!
