Artist's Residence Hall Dorm Reviews at MassArt

Artist Residence was the perfect location to start my academic career at MassArt. It provide ample space, privacy, and facilities to allow for a comfortable and effective first semester. Artist Rez is easily the best dorm hall on campus.

It was like having an upscale apartment before I had to move off campus, which was lovely enough on its own. It's right across the street from campus, the staff is nice and I feel pretty secure. The community is a little lacking, since we all have our own common rooms, but there's still monthly events and such held by RA's.

Artist Res includes some of the more spacious dorms. Almost all include a kitchen. There are rooms with doubles and single which include a common room. There are also efficiency rooms that are essentially a studio apartment. They also include workrooms catered to different majors and different needs. With its location near the C-store, going to grab food at late hours is easy. For heating in the winter, the whole building will switch from cooling to heating at a certain point in the fall. There are laundry rooms that occasionally will have a broken washing machine. I’ve had to take a load of laundry home because I didn’t wash them with fabric softener and they ended up smelling terrible.
