The Oaks Apartments Dorm Reviews at Meredith

Before living at The Oaks, I lived in an apartment style living at UMass Amherst...let me tell you The Oaks is like a luxury hotel in comparison. I loved the ease of access, facilities, proximity to campus buildings, cleanliness (except a few apartments leaving their trash bags outside for the morning—because no one wants to bring it to the dumpster late at night anyway), and large amount of space. The apartments themselves have high ceilings, a good sized galley kitchen and large living room/dining space to share between 3-4 roommates. Then a bathroom area at each end, think double hotel vanity with toilet and shower enclosed in a separate room (so that’s only 2 people sharing, which was amazing compared to 7 sharing at UMass). Finally the bedrooms were large, furnished with a large desk, nightstand, plus they have full size beds instead of tiny twins!! To top it all off the closets are huge, not walk ins but huge for an apartment, large enough that I could have taken a nap inside if I ever wanted. Let me mention, I have also toured apartments at Austin Peay State University, and The Oaks blows any other on campus apartments have seen out of the water!

The oaks is the best place on campus to live. The kitchens are a great add and laundry in your own space makes it worth the price. I live in a two bed room apartment the private bathrooms are clean and big. My one thing is I wish there was more storage space maybe a pantry.
