Mignon Hall Dorm Reviews at MSU

All the walls are curved, so be aware when trying to push a flat surface up against it (like picture frames or cabinets). The AC cuts in and out when it storms, so it sometimes feels like you’re sitting in a sauna. The elevator has never broken down ( so compared to East and West Mignon, its a plus).

The whole building is curved on both sides, this seems like a cool architectural concept, however that means anything pushed up against a wall will not stay flat- specifically the beds. The building itself is quite nice for a dorm, and the air conditioning is definitely a positive compared to some of the other dorm buildings surrounding it. The elevator has not broken down in the year and a half I have resided in this building compared to my last dorm (East Mignon) in which the elevator broke down weekly. Overall- one of the best choices for dorms on campus here at Morehead State University/

It was a very nice dorm I stayed there for the governors scholars program. Maintenance was a little slow to fix things, but the dorms are a nice size and the beds are fairly comfortable. The tallest beds were a little hard to get on, but other than that it was a nice experience.

I enjoyed my time at mignon hall however I do think amenities need to be updated and common areas need to be better. I would like to hangout in the common areas more. Also, the elevator was down for a good period of time which was inconvenient for people with disabilities.
