Nunnelee Hall Dorm Reviews at MSU

Overall, it has been a good experience there are moments when it is a bit annoying. Recently I found out that the heat was not working in the room, but maintenance quickly fixed the issue. I greatly appreciate the speed at which things are done and also the environment the people provide.

I would describe my stay at Nunnelee very memorable. There was always something to do. There were sometimes when the neighbors were too loud, but they would always calm down if I asked. The RA's were amazing and always would help with any problem I had.

Overall, Nunnelee Hall has been a wonderful first dorm. Let's start with the staff! Our RA was very helpful, and you could tell she genuinely cared for us and wanted us to have the best college experience. She and the other RAs put together fun (and COVID-safe) activities for our dorm, such as pumpkin painting and a movie/trivia night. They were all a delight! Sadly, my floor had some residents who would enter very loudly late at night and continue to yell and laugh. Fortunately, after a quick call to the front desk, an RA or worker would politely ask them to quiet down, and everyone could peacefully sleep. The cleaning and maintenance staff also kept the dorm in great shape (We got new stairs this semester too!). The lady who cleaned my floor (the second) always greeted me when I was rushing to class. She was so nice and kept the entire floor in order! As nice as Nunnelee is, however, it could use a few newer updates, such as carpeting, paint, etc... It is an older dorm, but that comes with a certain charm. By adding a few more updates, Nunnelee would definitely win any dorm competition with its amazing community and helpful staff.

Nunnelee Hall is considered part of the Honors College Dorms at MSU, so they are a bit nicer then some of the other dorms on campus. I have especially enjoyed the fact that the room has its own bathroom so I don't have to worry about communal bathrooms or showers. It also has a full size fridge instead of a mini fridge which means you have much more room for food.It is about a 10 minute walk from the center of campus so it is not far, and the green area to back in the center of the dorms on the North side is always a fun place to see people playing frisbee or hammocking.
