Ernest Calderón Dorm Reviews at NAU

I enjoyed my time in these dorms for the most part. The common areas had a lot of variety and it usually wasn't difficult to find an open one. The room itself was awesome. I loved the big window and the layout provided plenty of storage space while leaving a modest amount of open space. My only complaint was the sound level. Maybe its this way for every dorm but we had plenty of loud neighbors and a few frustrating nights.

My experience at Ernest Calderon has been great so far. You get to choose who your suitemates are. So I currently am living with my friends and I feel that it has brought us together because we now are with each other all day. The Residency Hall Director and the RA's do so many activities to get you involved with your hall. This is also a great way to make more friends. I can give two examples of which these activities made me gain more friends. One being we got mugs that we got to paint on and the other being having movie nights outside. Movie nights happen about once a month and it is just an amazing experience because you get to watch a movie while also being under the stars. Living in Calderon is definitely an upgrade from freshmen dorms.

Since moving into Calderon it has been amazing on campus, the people working on campus are great and really work towards what you need. They are so sweet as well since if you ever need to rent out something or just talk, they will be there for you. The rooms are spacious as well as the bathrooms are communals so that is a plus.
