Rhodes-Garrett-Hamiel Hall Dorm Reviews at NMSU

I was very satisfied with my stay at Rhodes-Garrett-Hamiel Hall, i dont really have any complaints, the staff was very friendly and the building was very clean, considering safety issues there were some sexual assualt incidents reported but I can say that you werent able to get into restrooms or dorms without your key unless you knew someone but overall i was very satisfied with my stay.

My experiences have been very satisfying, the community is very nice and communication with staff is very extremely good. If anyone needs help RA’s are there to help. In addition, students living at RGH are very nice and respectful.

I lived at Rhodes Garrett Hamiel for one year, and in all honesty, I do not regret it. The only two reasons I stopped living at RGH and studying at New Mexico State University was that it cost me more than the amount of money I had available to me and the current pandemic rose up while I was living there. The location was also very beneficial to me, as a person who was known to be very quiet and introverted. It was next to Barnes & Noble and Corbett, so I could cross the street and spend some time outside of my room; additionally, the fact that my time living there was apart from my parents allowed me to go out whenever I wanted to without having to ask for permission first, which in turn enabled me to meet and get to know and love some of the best friends I have ever had. If I could afford to do so, I would live there again.

It is very quiet but because of Covid there are very few people at the dorm and very few organized activities. We also can not use the common areas. You can not have guests either during this time either. The windows have really pretty views. I think during normal times RGH would be a really good place to live.
