Magers Hall Dorm Reviews at NMU

I loved living in Magers Hall for my freshman year of college so much that I decided to stay in Magers Hall for my sophomore year as well. The resident advisors make it a very fun environment by creating fun activities for all of the people that live in the dorms!

The people are friendly and always want to talk. The RA is always inviting us to fun activities and hall dinners at the dining hall. We even had a Halloween decorating contest in the hallways. The only bad thing is when someone burns popcorn is that it makes the whole building smell.

It was very good I had no real problems living here. I had a great hall with many friends which helped. Its a good location in relation to food and parking options. I liked living here alot better than the woods.

Makers is overall a really nice dorm, it’s right by the path to upper campus and it’s not far from the dining hall. The staff and RAs are super nice too they’re all really helpful! The new dorms to me, feel like a hotel, but the old dorms, including magers feel more homey

It is truly a home away from home. The staff is wonderful and everyone is very friendly. It’s a great place to grow your leadership skills and find like minded friends that are lifelong. I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else on campus.

I LOVED living in Magers Hall! The rooms had a more traditional college dorm feel, but they were perfect for me and my roommate to personalize. We even had heating controls in our room for the cold winters! A lot of us in Magers got along really well because we had a lot of similar interests. We'd go on hall hikes, have hall dinners, and do Secret Santa during Christmastime! I had a family in Magers, and I share a house with my best friends I met in Magers.
