South Hall Dorm Reviews at Notre Dame

South hall is a great place to live! Super clean and the space is nice and roomy. Having air conditioning and a bathroom inside to share is nice! Only down side is it’s a little pricey compared to other options.

I have lived in South Hall for almost a year and there is a lot to point out. First of all, when I arrived in this room it was dirty. There was debris in the room, our AC did not work, the refrigerator did not work, the microwave did not work and the lamp was broken in my room. I pay almost $ 3000 per semester and I do not think it is acceptable. I will spend four years in this room and then I personally think it should be a good room so that we students can feel good. It is a room that I will sleep in, study in and hang out in. Then I think you should fix all rooms that have problems before we arrive at the room. $ 3000 is a lot of money that I work all summer for and then I want value for money. These are supposed to be the best rooms at the school, but I do not know that after living here for almost a year. Had they refreshed the rooms a bit, I would not have had anything to complain about. I want to live here but as it looks now it is too expensive for me and I think it's boring when you have all your friends and security here. I have traveled all the way from Sweden to study at this particular school and I think they should appreciate it a little more that international people come here, at least have clean and functional rooms.
