Brittany Dorm Reviews at NYU

I spent my freshmen year at NYU at Brittany Hall. Best freshmen dorm. Everyone I know who lived there last year loved the community environment of Brittany. The safety officers care about safety and I don't think there were any safety alerts here for my first year. Pretty chill dorm, but the actual living spaces can be small. Most rooms are doubles and triples. It can be a homey place if you put work into making it feel like home.

Brittany hall is definitely one of the most comfortable choices for a freshman dorm. The community is always good and the RAs are usually amazing– the only drawbacks are how far you need to walk to get to a dining hall or to school buildings.

Brittany Hall was in one of the best locations in Manhattan for students, and the hall regularly held programming and events. The rooms were larger than at most other first-year halls at NYU and very clean, despite the building's age.

Brittany hall, in my opinion, is the ideal freshman dorm– spacious rooms with nice lighting, closet space, and bathrooms, and always a good community! The climate control works well, the elevators are clean and pretty big, and the common areas are super nice and comfortable! The only issue is that he nearest dining halls are a small walk away, as opposed to dorms like Lipton and Weinstein that have dining halls in the building.

I am dorming in Brittany during covid do have not been able to make use of the common areas as they are closed to prevent the spread of the virus. Apart from the common areas I can say everything is amazing - the location, the room, the cleanliness. The only thing is that my bathroom is quite small compared to other ones I’ve seen.
