Clark Street Dorm Reviews at NYU

Living in Clark Street Dorm at NYU can offer several advantages. Its central location provides easy access to NYU's academic buildings, libraries, and other campus facilities. Additionally, being situated in Greenwich Village offers a vibrant and lively environment with a wide range of restaurants, shops, and cultural attractions within walking distance.

Clark Street was a decent experience for a freshman dorm as far as I am concerned. Likes: - I enjoyed the location. You are close to a Starbucks and several other local coffee shops. - The dorm is mixed between different schools, so you probably will make friends! Cons: - Building is old, so some stuff is constantly broken - Kitchen is downstairs. Not fun.

Clark street was an interesting experience. My room was initially suppressed to be triple, but only two people stayed in it, which its good considering the third bed was broken. The bathroom paint bubbled up if we took showers for too long and the occasional mouse might run through the elevator or your dorm. But the security and staff are okay and the common spaces are cleaned regularly.

I have been at Clark for about 2 semesters so far and my experience has been good. The location of the campus could be better due to the walk down there every week to take my covid test. Besides location the dorm is very nice it has a great lounge and the dorms are super nice.

Clark Street is unlike any other NYU dorm. It is mainly occupied by NYU Tandon School of Engineering Students. Unlike other dorms, the common spaces are shared with students from other schools. There is a common kitchen which is untypical for other dorms. If you are into the gym or would like to be, Clark residents have access to the Eastern Athletic gym next door. No other dorm provides that. This gym has a hot tub and squash courts. Living in Brooklyn Heights is beautiful (much better than Downtown Brooklyn). There are many restaurants nearby and the Brooklyn Promenade is 2 blocks away. The NYC skyline is always a lovely sight to see! Clark is very worth the ten minute walk to Tandon. My experience at Clark Street is absolutely fantastic from a room and facilities perspective, right next to the beautiful Brooklyn promenade. However, the hall is owned by a third party company who has repeatedly failed to keep up with maintenance. Elevators break down often (sometimes with people inside!), laundry machines are of abysmal quality, and many of the staff claim that students are spoiled or expecting too many when they complain about these ongoing issues. Thank god I dont have to interact with them more than a few times a semester!
