Gunn-Henderson Hall Dorm Reviews at OC

I love the RA's. The dorm has very thin walls so when you have your air conditioning off you can hear everything that is happening in the dorm, but I have made a lot of great friends. The rooms are also pretty decently sized.

Amazing! The staff is extremely nice and caring! It is very clean, and the noise settles down towards the end of the day, so it is perfect for studying for classes. It is easy to access yet still has good security. I have not had a problem with dorms so far; I would recommend it!

It was a good dorm to enter into college with. I used to go to church camp and we stayed in that dorm so it was familiar to me. It's a very old dorm though so I'm grateful to be moving. Fortunately I didn't experience many of the issues the dorm had due to the first floor taking the brunt of the problems. I have heard many stories about how the first floor has flooded. They also has some pretty bad heating issues over the winter. Also, all of the washers and dryers are downstairs too so there were also issues with those. The first few weeks into the fall semester two of the washers on the west side of the dorm stopped working sufficiently. They were never fixed even before the end of the spring semester. It's also pretty far from all of the classrooms on OC's campus in comparison to other dorm halls. Even with all of those issues though I had a good time because my friends were there with me.

I have loved the experience of living in Gunn with other freshman because it allows me to meet people easier. My room feels big enough for a shared dorm space and the cleaning staff is usually good about having bathrooms cleaned quickly but effectively.

It was a nice dorm and I enjoyed my time there. It was my favourite dorm from my time at OC. The showers were pretty nice too because they had a door instead of curtains. What I didn't like about the common area was that the "private" area has ceiling to floor glass windows which defeats the purpose of it being a private area.
