Whitehurst Hall Dorm Reviews at Old Dominion

I spent two semesters at Whitehurst hall, it was a good experience. The first couple weeks there were groups of people that went around introducing themselves to the hallway. The RA’s hosted events for the students, and I had a great view of the ocean. Whitehurst hall succeeded my expectations for a first year dorm.

My experience was great here my freshman year. I met a lot of amazing people that I probably wouldn't have spoken to if I hadn't met them when I did. The walk to Whitehurst Hall was a little lengthier than I wanted it to be since it was the furthest dorm from the main campus.

The hallways were always quiet so it made it easy to concentrate and focus on assignments. The staff were also fast in helping students with any concerns. It was always easy to navigate around the dorm and the café food was good too.

It is not a bad place to stay, it is just an older building. The bathrooms are too small as well as the room itself. The only other thing I can say is that is far from the dining hall and classes in general. I wouldn't recommend staying here because, it's an older building. Everything else about it is fine.

My experience at Whitehurst was a great experience. The overall rating was great. I felt safe and with the pandemic I felt safe and protected. The cleanliness of the building was great. The staff was also very friendly.

Whitehurst hall is very cozy in terms of room size , and it's a tight squeeze but it's functional. The staff was great , especially in Legends they were the sweetest. The dorm itself , was about a 10 minute walk from the center of campus , which isn't too bad. Whitehurst beach , is the best part because you cannot beat the water side view.
