McNary Hall Dorm Reviews at OSU

Most of my friends lived in the same hall as me which was fun because every now and then we would visit each other often. We held a surprise birthday party for a friend in one of the common areas which was a success and there was no disruptions.

It was the typical dorm life. I found it very convenient location-wise to the places that I needed to go. I really only used the dorm as a place to sleep and eat. If I needed to study, I would go to the library which was very close to my dorm. As well as the dining hall had a wide variety of food to choose from as well.

I had a great experience while attending OSU and living on campus. Staying in the dorms my first year at a university helped me in several different ways. I'm from a very small town and moving across the state where I didn't know anyone was scary. Living in McNary gave my the opportunity to meet some of my best friends and helped me adjust to the new scene. I wouldn't trade my experience with McNary Hall for anything! I highly recommend that all first year students live on campus.

Experience was great because of the people, however the dorm was not very clean or sanitary. There was cockroaches found multiple times in the lounges and bathrooms were always gross. My room itself was fine.

My current experience while staying at McNary Hall is fairly good. I have no big or major complaints. On my floor, it is really quiet most of the day and you rarely see anyone else there on that floor.

The staff were pretty good and made the experience better. The location was a bit far from my science classes but the walk was not too far and helped me get good exercise. The common areas were a good place to socialize and meet people from different floors of the building I would not normal interact with.
