Canfield Hall Dorm Reviews at Ohio State

Canfield was an incredibly old building, with no air conditioning, loud residents, and the occasional water fountain ripped out of the wall. The foundation was creaky, and students, including myself, felt unsupported.

It’s a very different experience and when I first got placed in Canfield, I wanted to transfer halls, but after a week I ended up loving my dorm. I met some of the greatest people in Canfield and we all bonded over just how interesting the building is.

All of the staff was really nice. There wasn't a ton they could do to make the place nice. Canfield is really old and doesn't have AC which is kind of a bummer. I got through it. Not where anyone would specifically choose to live, but it's not a purgatory.

As Canfield could use some deep cleaning and air conditioning, it is a very homey hall and I love that it is on south campus. It is close to the south oval and the union. Also, after talking with people on north campus, they would agree that south campus is more social.
