Torres House Dorm Reviews at Ohio State

Best dorms on campus!!! I had a great experience living here and recommend it to everyone looking for dorms on Ohio State campus. It is very modern and up-to-date. A microwave and refrigerator is included with every room inside the Torres House.

It was fun, the people there are cool for the most part. I liked the location because it was right next to the Covid testing center, Traditions at Scott, and the gym. There was also a convenient store across the street, so I had everything I needed right by me.

I have extremely enjoyed my experience in Torres so far this year. One of my favorite parts about the dorm is the floor to ceiling windows that provide a wonderful view. The walls and ceilings are also lovely compared to some other dorms. The ac/heating works well. I appreciate the size of the restrooms/shower. The staff is welcoming and great workers.

Torres, as one of the newer dorm buildings on campus, is very nice and kept up well. It has nice features and the maintenance staff is friendly and efficient. The main downside for me is that the dorm sits on Lane Avenue. Although it is next to Jesse Owens North and Scott Traditions, as a STEM major, none of my classes are as close to the dorm as I had imagined they'd be, which can be slightly irritating on days with poor weather. The washer/dryer room can get messy and sometimes it is difficult to find an open machine. Overall the dorm is nice and the experience was much better than the previous dorm I stayed it.

As a first year student, I would say Torres is a perfect freshman year dorm. Every morning a very nice cleaning lady cleans our communal bathrooms and the bathrooms are nice because they are actual rooms. The common spaces have been really nice for some of my friends and I to congregate and study together.

I currently live in a 4 person suite. We have our own lobby and bathroom that is only accessible to the people in our suite and our rooms are only accessible to you and the second person in your room (not the other two people in your suite). The rooms are spacious and come with a raisable, loftable, or bunkable beds and a nice desk with shelves and a lockable drawer, and a closet/cupboard for each person staying. The lobby comes with a chair, a couch, an ottoman, and a tv stand and the bathroom is quite spacious as well.
