Living at Chan Family Hall has its perks. For one, it's far enough from the chaos of campus, so it is fairly quiet which is especially good for finals week. However, in my opinion, it's too far from the main campus. So, if you have class on the south side of campus and you live here, expect to wake up at least 15 minutes earlier than usual or to obtain some means of transportation whether in form of bicycle, scooter, skateboard, maybe even car if you can find parking in time. An issue with this is that if you keep your bicycle locked outside, there's a good chance someone passing by might steal it as Chan is fairly close to the public streets. But on the bright side, you are closer to public stores such as Target that is within walking distance of Chan and you are directly across from on-campus police, the mail room, and health center if you ever need it. Other than the occasional run in with wild raccoons and cats, Chan is in my opinion, is the best dorm on campus for upperclassmen.
