Brumbaugh Hall Dorm Reviews at Penn State

So, altogether, this hall is pretty nice. I wouldn't say it's the best ever, but it's definitely not a bad choice to get if you end up rooming here. I've been to other halls nearby like Earle (which is very high quality; bigger rooms, roomier common areas, nicer decor) but I would say that this definitely beats a dorm like Pollock or West. The parties here are pretty occasional (almost every night) but you'd find many extroverted kids here (I mean, it's Penn State). If you're a light sleeper, I would recommend getting a white noise machine or bringing earbuds to help you block out most of the noise. From my experience, the parties don't go too late though. The latest they end is like 1 or 2 in the morning. But all in all, it's not too cramped, the view of the courtyard is pretty nice, and I wouldn't recommend switching out if you get in. It's a nice place to stay!

One of the best years of my life. I had so much fun and met some amazing people here. There are so many opportunities to get to know the people in your building and the RAs are always planning fun events for everyone to do.

It is newly renovated so it's super nice. Private bathrooms on each floor (similar to home). It's really hard with COVID to meet new people though. It can be loud during sylly week and you can hear people outside. 10/10 recommend.
