Leete Hall Dorm Reviews at Penn State

Leete Hall is part of the "suite-style" dorms in the North Residence Halls area. North Halls is known by many to be the most boring residence halls by rumor and word of mouth, however, don't let the rumors deter you as most of the people who spread them have never stayed there. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there for many reasons. Firstly, North is known for being the quietest of the residence halls which is great for studying and online classes, but if you want a bit more noise and partying, East halls is only two blocks away. General cleanliness (in Leete specifically) is pretty good. The staff will clean the elevator, stairs, laundry room, etc., but I've noticed they don't clean the study rooms, and it so happens that you may find some leftover trash in one. The staff is also very kind and welcoming. Since it is a suite-style, you have your own bathroom which the staff come and clean once a month. It is my favorite part about North Halls because I really don't like the idea of communal bathrooms, and even though you're still sharing the bathroom with four other people, these are people that you will get to know as roommates and those in which you can partner with to keep the bathrooms clean. Some complain that the location of the halls is too far from most things on campus, but i believe that the location is excellent. Depending on where your classes are, North is in the top-middle of campus, so it is at most a 10 minute walk to most buildings except for those at the very south of campus. It is also right next to the Agriculture, Architecture, Chemistry, and Business buildings and a Panera. All in all, don't let a few rumors from students that haven't experienced North Halls deter you from one of the best halls on campus.

Leete Hall reminded me of a retirement home that only had college students living in it. It was never loud, and the suite-style dorms were a great addition to campus life. It was far from downtown but close to the library and arts buildings.

Leete hall was a nice place to live. It's a suite dorm so you have a roommate and share a bathroom and common space with your roommate and another set of roommates. It was always super quiet and I felt extremely safe. I wouldn't recommend living there as a freshman(I lived there as one). I'd say this hall you'd live after you've made some friends you don't mind rooming with.

I lived in a 4 person suite in Leete Hall, I would definitely recommend this experience to college freshmen. I would only say a bathroom schedule for each person may be helpful as far as showering, teeth brushing, etc.
