University College Dorm Reviews at PVAMU

Though the spaces are small in University College because it is a freshman dorms, it is good for interacting with other first year students. It is also good for us to learn how to live on our own because of how strict the rules are.

My experience thus far has been a satisfying and fantastic one. I haven’t needed maintenance as everything is in working condition. The common areas is always clean, safe and accessible. The noise is little to none and the staff is amazing. From day of move in, everyone of the staff has been knowledgeable, accessible and very helpful!

Bathroom toilet is older and could be replaced but is in working condition. Dorm room is small but livable and located on the 1st floor. Doors are always locked and must have a key to gain entry to the building.

As I step into my university college dorm, I can't help but notice the cozy intimacy of the space. The room itself is on the smaller side, which gives it a quaint and almost nostalgic charm. The furniture and decor seem to tell stories of years past – the wooden desk with its worn edges, the vintage posters hanging on the walls, and the creaky bed that seems to have supported countless dreams. While some might see the aged surroundings as a drawback, I find myself oddly drawn to the character that comes with it. Each scuff mark on the floor and every slightly faded paint patch adds to the room's unique history. The slightly rattling windowpanes let in the whispers of previous generations of students who once lived and studied here. Sure, the furniture might not be the latest and greatest, and the technology might be a bit behind the times, but there's an undeniable sense of authenticity in this space. It's as if the room itself is a testament to the countless individuals who have passed through its doors, leaving behind a piece of themselves. In a world that often prioritizes sleek and modern aesthetics, being surrounded by these vintage remnants is a comforting reminder of the past while I embark on my own journey of learning and growth.

I was really comfortable in the dorm, it wasn't too cramped and wasn't too crowded. I really enjoyed the activities in the common area like the fitness center and the theater room. I would really reccomend it to others for their freshman year.

The layout of the room provided privacy which was great because not having privacy can cause problems. The bathroom was big and nice. The beds were hard, but there is always ways to fix that. Being in the dorm in so close areas with others was a great way to make friends the first year.

Overall it’s been a nice experience. First time being away from home is a different experience. You want the same space and options that home have to offer then you realize that you’re not in Kansas anymore and there’s no place like home. I do wish it was closer to the dinning hall and that it had a elevator especially for those who live on the third floor but overall it’s not too bad and it definitely could be worse.
