Voorhees Hall Dorm Reviews at Rutgers

It was overall good I liked living there and gave a good freshman experience. I would necessarily live there again if given the opportunity but I wasn’t the worst place to live in. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming.

Vorhees Hall was a fairly normal college dorm room. I can't say that it was the cleanest. My room had a smell that was reminiscent of dirty cheese that was there before I moved in and did not leave no matter how much I cleaned the floors. The dorm was reasonably quiet after 10 pm Sunday-Thursday, but sometimes some people would be loud in their rooms. From Thursday night to Sunday morning, it was almost always very loud and rambunctious, unless many people went home for the weekend. The main problem with the dorm is that there was someone in my hall who rendered toilets unusable, and they would remain this way until Sunday. This meant that some toilets were unusable for an entire week, and it would be ruined the same day as when it was cleaned sometimes. Besides the aforementioned reasons, the dorm was good. The staff and RA's were especially great, offering assistance and talking to underclassmen.

Vorhees hall was very dirty. My room had a certain smell that was there before I moved in and was thereafter I left. It was reminiscent of moldy cheese. On weekdays it was mostly quiet after hours, with some hiccups, but Thursday to Saturday meant it was chaos after 8 PM. I would definitively would recommend this hall to anyone who wants the party college experience, but not for anyone who wants a more quiet dorm.
