Cougar Village Apartments Dorm Reviews at SIUE

It is an affordable on campus housing facility. However, this semester the plumbing has been bad. I was not notified until the day I moved in that we are not allowed to flush anything down the toilets including toilet paper for the whole semester. I wish they would have notified me before I signed on as I would have picked a different housing facility to live in. All of the main floor apartments in my building had their toilets flood at the same time. The flooding was so bad it reached my roommates room and into the living room.

So far, it has been a good experience. I have stayed for part of Spring 2020 semester before the lockdown occurred and, I intend to stay at Cougar Village Apartments until I graduate. The location is next to cougar lake making it enjoyable to be outside but, you will have to take a bus to get to the rest of campus. The bus trip to the rest of campus is quick depending on how busy campus is it usually only takes 5 minutes to get there.

Accommodations were met. Overall good stay. It helped for me to be as efficient as possible leading into my junior year and benefited me i my studies. Other residents were kind and respected quiet hours when studying for exams.

Brief but a bit spacious. Temperature control was a bit limiting and depending on where you were bugs could get in. Bugs became less of a problem as the temperature outside decreased. Overall, if COVID wasn't the bearer of bad news and the reason for the limited people I believe I would have enjoyed my stay better.

I really like cougar village apartments! I think they are very nice & I they are close to campus! I currently share a room with another girl & it is really nice! It is perfect size for both of us! The kitchen and living room are really nice and a good size!
