Reinert Hall Dorm Reviews at SLU

It was conveniently located close to campus and amenities off campus. It was easy to access from the freeway and ample and safe parking. Rooms were spacious and had their own bathrooms. The common areas were nice too.

Reinert Hall was a tight-knit community due to it's off-campus location, where I made long lasting friends of people in similar majors and completely differing fields. I learned how to be responsible as an adult at Reinert Hall. I always felt encouraged by the staff and never felt out of place.

I was a resident my Freshman year then a resident advisor my second year. I enjoyed having my own bathroom and the rooms were a good size for two people. The common spaces were not open my freshman year due to Covid, but my sophomore year as an RA, the common spaces were open.

Reinert Hall is definitely not in the ideal location. Having to work across three busy intersections in order to get to the dorm at night is not the safest. The rooms were often covered in paint chips and other damages but then you are responsible for covering those damages at the end of the year unless you have proof. The amenities of Reinert are nice though. Having a mini dining hall, study rooms, and common spaces were really nice. The bathrooms offered enough space and Wi-Fi was usually reliable. Overall, it is a great place to build friendships but just with an unconvient location and safety issues.

Reinert Hall had great staff and students, and my overall time there was well spent. The common areas were nice for studying without having to leave the building, or for hanging out with friends. The location is not ideal, and the walk to and from campus can sometimes feel a bit unsafe.

Reinert Hall is a great dorm to live in your freshman year at Saint Louis University because each room has a private bathroom as opposed to community bathrooms. Additionally, there are learning communities in this building that are great for studying and acclimation to college.

Overall Reinert was okay. It is definitely one of the better dorms on campus because you have your own bathroom. The only thing is it is kind of far away from everything on campus, so be prepared to walk a lot on campus.

I stayed in Reinert Hall for a summer engineering program a few years ago. I stayed there for about two weeks. Overall it was a good experience. The facilities were clean. There is a pool table in the lobby which was nice.

Reinert Hall, although not directly on campus, is very nice and accommodating. Every room has its own bathroom. Laundry is very accessible. There is a to go food store in the building. There are plenty of places throughout the building to study as well.

Reinert is the farthest from most classes and the main cafeteria. The only reason I'd stay at Reinert is for Reinert-to-go bagels and because I have only one roommate instead of two (due to Covid-19). The staff is nice here.

Reinert Hall is mostly a freshman dorm hall, however as a sophomore I did not find it to be the most enjoyable. Although the rooms are big, and you have a personal bathroom, the location is what sets it apart from the other living spaces on campus.

Older dorm, not a lot of amenities but much less expensive and with decorations a dorm room is a dorm room. The big drawback is you have to go to one of newer dorms for hot meals. Reinsert only provides grab and go meals for breakfast and lunch but Starbucks, Chipotle, a diner across the street and student center and dorm that serves full meals only a block away.
