Sweetland Hall Dorm Reviews at SMSU

Sweetland Hall is great, especially when you are a first-year student. Some people can get a bit noisy, but the RA's keep them under control. Most people that live in Sweetland enjoy being there. You are able to make some lifelong friends while living in the dorm!

Sweetland Hall is a great residence hall for SMSU students. The facilities are up to date, clean, and well-maintained. Many students and student-athletes choose to live in Sweetland. The dorm is the farthest from class buildings, but it has its own parking lot, and the other dorms do not.

Sweetland felt more like a hotel setting rather than a regular dorm that you would expect when you go to college. No one really socialized with anyone else. Everyone just keeps to themselves. Hallways are pretty loud at all hours as other students don't really care and neither did the RA. Overall the building and rooms were kept very clean and tidy though.

I wish it wasn't so far from class buildings and that it didn't get so hot inside the dorms. I really like having air conditioning in the summer and having an elevator to use. I also really like have a bathroom connected to my room.

Sweetland Hall was a great experience. The laundry rooms were just updated with new washers and dryers that the student does not have to pay to use. There is also a TV and loungers for students to wait for their laundry. It was always clean. I love that the rooms are suites so there is one bathroom shared between two rooms. My only complaint would be the noise because the dorm rooms surrounding my room were loud.

I absolutely loved staying in Sweetland! Our room was very large compared to other dorms I have seen. The ceilings were high and you could easily sit up in your lofted bed without hitting your head on the ceiling. I loved how it was suite style and only four people shared a bathroom. My friends who went to other schools were jealous of how big my room was and how we had our own sinks and 4 people to a bathroom!

Sweetland is basically like living in a hotel! It has community kitchen and a great laundry room, both on the top two floors. It's clean and has great sized rooms and bathrooms. The wifi is usually pretty good, and they keep it well heated and air conditioned in the warm and cold respectively. Love it!
