Texas A&M Dorm Reviews

Hughes Hall is one of the oldest dorms on campus, and it was an experience. I was given the opportunity to live in a single room for one summer semester. I would be more likely to recommend a single room opposed to a double room, because the space is quaint. This dorm is a balcony style hall, which means the door is open to the outside. If you were to want to live in this dorm, I would advise you live on floor 2. This hall also has suite mates, which means you will be sharing a bathroom with one or two other people. The bathrooms are not the cleanest. The location of the dorm is far from most classroom buildings, so I would not recommend this dorm for someone who is handicap. If you are not picky, this might be a perfect dorm for you! more

The Callaway House is such a fun place to live, but is way too much for what you get. The food is not that good considering I pay a lot to live here, and there is bugs in the stair ways. Overall, it is only fun to live here because my friends do, and my room is only cute because I spent a lot of money to make it cute. more

Hobby has been a great place to live as it is in a central location, close to the dining hall, study areas, and outside activities such as sand volleyball and basketball courts. Hobby is truly like home to me and my room mate now and we’re excited that we still have another semester of living here! more

Me and my roommate, Devin ended up staying at Schuhmacher our freshman(current) year. To be honest it wasn't our first choice, but it ended up being a blessing in disguise! It has been perfect for us two, and we've had no problems. The location on campus is perfect and it's right next to the best food spots and a Starbucks. It also has really great study spots near it. It is a small dorm, but it is super spacious and has a great amount of storage. There was one small fluke that occured. One night, our bathroom drain started flooding our bathroom with moldy water and gunk. We immediately told our RA and our maintenance guys were contacted. Within thirty minutes the maintenance guys were fixing the problem, even at ten o'clock at night. They also sent custodial to clean up the mess for us. The staff were our heroes, and we were so thankful for their quick reaction to help us. They truly helped our situation and they did it with friendly attitudes and smiles. Schuhmacher made our first-year dorm experience the best we could imagine! Me and my roommate are excited to continue living there in the spring semester. more

The Traditions is in a good location but not run so great by the staff. The staff is young and many college students who don't always give the best answers. When I had a printing problem with the printer having low ink, they got that resolved but never mentioned that I needed to provide my own paper. I had to discover this on my next printing. more
