Johnson and Hardwick Hall Dorm Reviews at Temple

The location was amazing! I went to the music school and it was a 5-minute walk, plus the Esposito dining hall was downstairs. I was able to get food whenever I wanted. Plus, there were practice rooms with pianos in the basement that I utilized often so I wouldn't have to walk to the music college at nighttime. You were able to connect your Nintendo devices to the TV downstairs nd people had smash tournaments and group meetings in the basement/common area all the time. The elevators ARE a little slow so I would recommend getting a floor on the first, second, or third level. There are fire alarm drills here and there in the night so being closer to the ground is better so you don't have to walk up and down so many stairs at 2 in the morning.

Johnson and Hardwick Hall is a good choice because it is not only the most affordable living on campus option but also has access to a dining hall. The convenience of Johnson and Hardwick with its location in campus is really and understatement. It is super easy making friends in Johnson and Hardwick

Honestly compared to some of my friends living at the more expensive residence halls I had a pretty good experience here at JNH. It was always clean in the hallways and quiet, but I was still able to have friends over without getting yelled at. My main complaint is the communal bathrooms but that's honestly inevitable.

I had a nice time in J&H but I will say the elevator is a little shady. The front desk security is nice and not nosey which is always nice. Beware of the little critters in the dining hall who like to occasionally stop by.

The security is very good, each floor also had an RA. Cleanliness was okay. There was a microwave on each floor, but no kitchenette. Laundry on each floor you had to pay for. Wasn't too loud. Nice views from the higher floors but a pain to take that many stair during fire evacuations.

Although Johnson and Hardwick Hall might have not been the cleanest building or most spacious, I found it to be an amazing place to start my college career. I find dorm life to be an important factor of the college experience and Johnson and Hardwick gave me some of my best friends at Temple University. As I said, it was not the most luxurious living situation, but it is the one that I would recommend to anyone who is looking to meet a lot of people and have a great start to the college life.

I lived on the third floor of J&H, and we had fungal growth in our bathrooms. Everytime it would get "removed" it would be back like a day later. I was disgusting, and would also drip some sort of liquid onto you.

Although it may not have been the cleanest or the biggest or the most appealing dorm, Johnson and Hardwick Hall gave me the best experiences and I always felt safe there. The extremely tight-knit living situation and the communal bathrooms were definitely gross at times, but these conditions forced me to become a lot closer with the other residents which made my living experience much more enjoyable.

You will make many friends in this type of dorm style. Your only 2 blocks away form the student center and about 15min from Center city Philadelphia. You should be careful being out at night but that's almost every college campus so just have some street smarts.

I loved Johnson and Hardwick! It was the best classic college experience! I made so many friends on my floor and hundreds of exciting memories. The security guards at the front desk were so nice and constantly made my day. My absolute favorite part of Johnson and Hardwick was that the dining hall was in the same building, it was so nice just going down the elevator and getting a meal.
