Wall Hall Dorm Reviews at Texas Tech

I had a lot of fun when I lived there however the fire alarm checks can be annoying at 3am and the water did get shut off a few times while I was there and that was miserable and lasted a couple days but the CA’s are cool for the most part.

Wall Hall is not a great dorm. It is not terrible but there is a reason it is one of the last to fill up. There are not enough dryers are the showers were not great, hot water was out for several days multiple times. The male bathrooms do not have urinals so expect urine on the toilet seats.

I haven't been at wall for a long time because I am a freshman but so far it seems pretty nice. Of course there are better halls to stay at on campus or even off campus housing but as far as traditional halls go, this one is pretty nice.

My experience with the Wall/Gates Hall at Texas Tech University was pretty good! The location was absolutely perfect- less than 5 minutes away from the Library walking at a moderate pace. The dorm building itself was kept very clean and the staff working in the cafeteria part was always very nice. The dorm rooms themselves weren’t bad! Just got really hot and then really cold in the winter. The bathroom situations wasn’t great, but that was just because there were only four showers and three toilets for an entire floor of girls. Overall rating of my experience in Wall Hall: 6/10. Glad I chose this dorm building, but other dorm buildings were nicer than mine.

The fun stay at Wall Hall is something that every Freshman envisions a dorm they would stay at in their first year of college. Friends and students alike are able to easily interact with another there.

Its a cozy dorm with lots of storage compartments to work with. People can often be loud but usually adhere to required quiet hours. There's a dining hall inside the building so you don't have to go out into the cold to find a warm meal.

Very Genuine staff and my RA was very reasonable. The beds could be pushed into the wall and this created a lot more space for erractic dance parties. My one gripe is that the entire floor used one public restroom. So privacy was not priority when laying out the floor plan. its everything youd expect of a college dorm some might call it cramped but others call it cozy.

I enjoy living in Wall Hall because it contains the learning community for my major. Since the learning community also contains many artists the building is full of colorful artwork which makes the dorm feel more inviting instead of a hotel.

My experience in the dorm was quite nice. I had a good CA and neighbors however I feel getting the right dorm for you is dependent on your CA and neighbors. That being said the rooms were nice and it is one of the more recently renovated dorms. Bathrooms there were also just as nice. Overall I would select this dorm again for sure.

I loved living in Wall Hall. The bathrooms were really clean, but it is a communal bathroom. It is not always quite. there was people in the hall and people had friends over all the time but I did not mind. But if you do, I do not recommend you living here.

My experience at Wall has been conflicting. While the location is great the facility is old and broken down. I have taken many cold showers and my dorm room was very broken and musty when moving in. I had holes behind my bed, broken drawers, and broken smoke detectors in my room with exposed wires. The whole five-story building also is forced to share five washers that are located in the basement. The residence hall does have a decent eating facility/retail shop on the first floor though which makes the living area bearable.
