Guinn Dorm Reviews at TWU

I was very welcoming although the cleanliness was atrocious. I arrived and went to put my things in the separate closet but the entire closet smelled of rats. The shower barely had any hot water, and the chairs in the dorm were stained and smelled of pee.

So honestly this review is for Stark, they just don't have Stark as an option on here. So far I have had a decent experience. The dormitory is older so certain things are expected but other than the basic problems of an older building (water, elevator issues, etc.) its okay.

Guinn ( and Stark) Hall is a great place to be in my opinion. The building itself is full of character and when you learn about the history (no spoilers) and how much care has gone into it and the area you end up appreciating the building even more. I lived here for about 2 years and loved every moment, though I won't say it was without problems. Dust levels are pretty high and I do wish the shared restrooms on the lower levels were all given the same level of care. Maintenance can be kind of hard if you aren't constantly updating, but overall I would choose to live on campus again.

Living in Guinn Hall was not terrible at all. I had an amazing roommate; we both had the same lifestyles, so we did not argue. I found my group of friends on my floor, and I would rarely be in my room. Maintenance did a good job of keeping the floor clean but they only came once a week so the trash would pile up and the people who lived across from the trash would have to smell the trash but overall, they did a decent job. The only terrible thing about my experience was being on the 21st floor so if I was running late or trying to get somewhere on time, I would have to leave my dorm 20 minutes before due to having to wait on the elevator and making constant stops.

Overall, Guinn is a great place to live. Compared to Stark Hall, Guinn is newer and has better dorms. Occasionally we have power outages or air conditioning problems but I believe the worst of that is over.

I have been a Guinn resident for two years and it's been great you only share a room with one other person if you don't get your own and there's a private bathroom that you share. You will get your own closet. The staff is great and there's a store on the first floor you can use your dining dollars at. There is a computer lab too if you don't want to walk to the library.

I've really enjoyed living in this dorm. It allows me to live close or next door to my friends, as well as putting me in a good spot on campus by the dining hall and classes. It's kept very clean and the staff within the dorm are very friendly and helpful.

We have bathrooms in our dorm so we don’t have to share. We are provided with a microwave, refrigerator, desk, shelf, and closet. There is a computer lab downstairs so we can do homework whenever we need to. There is also a spacious lounger area with a piano for those who know how to play or want to learn. There is also a mini store which is called the market where you can get food and personal items.
