At Presidential Village 1, I was very satisfied with my experience. Presidential Village 1 is styled as a suite dorm with 4 of us girls sharing a common are and each having our own room. It is a great dorm to live in to meet new people, especially if you are introverted as it gives you a chance to make friends with 3 other people. Bathrooms were shared 2 to a person which was beneficial due to the cleanliness and never having to worry about when to shower. I felt I could study well in the building, and it became my safe space.

This is a great dorm to live in your freshman year! It is a bit far away from everything. It is about a 25 minute walk to sorority row, and about 15 to the Ferg if you are walking slow. A lot of the Joyrides sit outside Pres on busy nights because you are farther from the strip. Overall good separation from other people but you also have a lot of opportunity to meet other residents.

Although the location was not the best, (it is located on the north side of campus which is about a 30 minute walk from the main side of campus) the building was amazing. The RAs were super nice and helpful, and the cleaning staff were super sweet. I will say that a lot of people who lived there did not respect other people’s privacy (I had multiple people just walk into my dorm) and also did not keep quiet during nighttime hours, however that can be expected with any college dorm. The suite style dorms were really nice to study in, and the half kitchen was my favorite thing because if I didn’t want to go to a dining hall or my sorority house to eat, I always had some groceries that I could make into some food. Having my own personal room was also a huge plus because I didn’t have to worry about waking someone up if I had an early class or vice versa. I went in randomly so I didn’t know my roommates before I moved in, but I would recommend going in with someone you know because you will be able to coordinate more and it won’t be as hard to divide costs of general things like decor and cleaning supplies. Overall I would say a 8.5/10 experience.

My roommates and I met online and we are all very different. Though we got along very well at first, things have gotten rocky during this second semester. Communication is the hardest issue because the other girls refuse to wash dishes, vacuum, and clean restrooms/common area. Also, the girls constantly have guests over who are messy and they do not clean up after themselves. The cost to live n Pres 1 is extremely high and it is located on the opposite side of campus as the sorority houses and most academic buildings. It is a thirty minute walk to my sorority house and there is not parking in the parking garage. Students who live in Pres 1 purchase a parking pass that only accesses two parking garages. These garages never fail to be overpacked. Cars are jammed into marked off parking spots that are not supposed to be parked in and the university parking patrol loves to fine students $50-$150 for breaking these parking rules.

The dorm is overall very nice. With corona is more clean than it probably has been in the past but i am not complaining. The was are very thin though and you can hear a lot of whats going on in the rooms next to you and even above you. I also got unlucky and get extremely loud neighbors.

I am currently living at Presidential Village I and, so far, there is nothing to complain about. This is the perfect dorm to live in because it gives you experience living independently and having to share a space with roommates. Presidential Village I is a perfect stepping stone to living in an apartment because of all the amenities at the dorm has. With a gym and small market just downstairs, it is a perfect spot to live.

Pres is definitely a louder dorm, and parties are frequent during the weekends and rare on actual school days. The suite style is sooo nice and definitely worth the extra money spent. I think both pres 1 and 2 are relatively the same, except 2 is probably like three minutes closer to main campus and sorority row. Everyone there is super nice and easy to get along with, and roommates are extremely easy to find as long as you submit your housing application and fees as soon as possible. During pick days, pres 1 and 2 usually fill up the fastest and are gone by the second day, so make sure that your roommates all have similar pick days that are close to the first or second day, or else you might not get a spot. They keep the hallways and common areas clean, but it's up to you to keep your bathroom and rooms clean. My favorite part was definitely the little kitchenette--it makes the whole thing feel like a hotel.

It is amazing being on the campus of the University of Alabama. There is so much to do and it is a safe environment at the same time. The dorms appear nice online and in person. Truly excited to be apart of the crimson tide

The rooms are much smaller than I expected they would be compared to the other dorms I lived in on campus (Blount and Ridgecrest West). There is only one laundry room in the building and 2 kitchens that serve 7 floors of people.

This dorm hall is new to the University of Alabama and is nothing short of "fancy freshman living". I have my own room, bathroom, kitchenette, and living room for my freshman year. This building is co-ed and I have been able to meet people from coast to coast. Living here has been nothing short of welcoming and home. This building is very diverse and the loudest to the quietest people can live in this building and get the college experience that they are wanting. This dorm hall is among the best and has been a great place to live. It is very far from everything on campus, but with resources such as the buses, biking trails, and tons of walking space it makes up for the far distance.

Pres1 is a really friendly dorm! Everyone including staff, RAs, and other residents are extremely kind and are willing to help whenever you need it. Theres a group chat to make sure you stay in the know, where you can also ask for help, make friends, and just see what all is going on around campus! The dorm itself is relatively clean - the worst part is the elevators as sometimes people will spill their food and drinks on their way back to their dorms from the dining halls. The location of Pres1 is probably the worst thing about it. While it's close to Lakeside Dining, its pretty far from the Quad and walking to class can be pretty exhausting in the hot summer and fall. However the buses will take you anywhere you need to go, and even though its far from main campus it has a rec center, dining hall, and several other commercial places to eat (such as Starbucks) and a mini grocery store right next to it. You can also pick up most mail from the building so you don't have to go all the way into inner campus to get things.

As a freshman, living on campus is required. My roommate and I decided on dorming in Pres because of the great things we have heard about the size of the rooms as well as the environment. The floors are great and everyone in the residence hall is energetic and kind. I live on the first floor and love it, I do not have to wait on the elevator and even though the laundry is on floor three it is easy to access. The different rooms in each suite have different layouts and sizes. I live in room C which is smaller than D and also has this odd protruding column, but if you arrange your bed along with the window then there is a ton of space and it feels huge! The seventh floor has this amazing space for hanging out and it has a kitchen area to cook and bake. Another feature of pres that I am in love with is in the middle of the building is a terrace-like place that has tables to sit at, I really enjoy doing my work outside and hanging with friends- it even has a grill!! In terms of location, pres is about a 5 minute walk to lakeside dining hall and a 8 minute walk to fresh foods. I love living at Pres, theres food trucks at night in front, a deli and market in the witt center that is between pres 1 and 2, and its a great dorm to meet lots of people!
