Ridgecrest East and West Dorm Reviews at University of Alabama

I love Ridgecrest West. It may be older than South, but the rooms are bigger. Having your own bedroom is amazing. I love that The University of Alabama offers honors housing because the people I have met here value academics and have similar motivations for attending college. It's a great dorm building.

- It is so spacious! - I have 3 other roommates and we all get our own room. - Very clean! - Full fridge in kitchen with a sink and microwave. - My experience has been very amazing at Ridgecrest. - Backyard is so nice and there is a pond with fountain.

Lovely, wacky, fun, and clean. I loved living here. The suite style as my introduction to my freshmen year was one of the best experiences to ease me into college life. Every morning during the week when I readied myself for class, staff was cleaning. There were some incidences of delinquency, but they didn't involve pulling fire alarms and were often harmless fun.

I enjoyed living at Ridgecrest East. It was never too loud even during the weekends. The furniture and common areas were always neat and staff maintained cleanliness daily. I would definitely recommend this dorm to a friend. Though it is quite expensive for my liking, I loved it.

Ridgecrest East and West are quiet dorms, but there are still parties and noise on weekend nights. They are close to Lakeside Dining Hall and a short walk to the freshman recreation center. The bedrooms are a decent size and they are suite style so you only have to share a bathroom with one other person. Every other floor has laundry and every floor has a kitchen.

Ridgecrest East is very nice, especially considering that it is basically apartment style with 4 separate bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen and common area. It is nice because it is co-ed and you can meet many people within your dorm. Some of my dorm friends are the closest friends I have ever had. A great dorm for a first year student!

Ridgecrest East recently opened up for none honors students and itβs a really great place to stay. Minimal noise, clean and has a nice view. If youβre looking into pres but canβt get it, consider RCE.

The dorms are really nice. The living areas are very spacious, and the common areas are well laid out, as are the facilities like the laundry and the kitchen. It is a bit unnerving as they never have anyone at the front desk, but the rest of the staff, specifically the custodial staff, are very good at their jobs. I have had a great dorm experience in Ridgecrest overall.

My experience was not bad at all. The only negatives are that the work-order requests were never looked into, and noise traveled very easily from top floors to bottom floors. The dorm was fairly clean, however, the couch provided did have a tear in it, which wasn't a big deal. The place was fairly spacious but very expensive considering what we were given. Washer and dryer units, along with stoves, were down the hall for us, but farther for some.
