Ridgecrest South Dorm Reviews at University of Alabama

Ridgecrest South is the most peaceful place that I've ever been in. I can go to my classes ahead of time. It's pretty quiet. There are basketball courts. If you are well taught at playing the piano, you could jam for as long as you need to. Really cool.

Overall good experience. As far as living in a dorm with suite style and being on the edge of campus it was a good first year dorm. Usually very quiet and clean. Only real complaint would be the size of the rooms are still quite small (expected for most dorms) and that common areas could be upgraded.

The staffs are nice and friendly. It is mostly quiet and students do not party a lot like other halls as they are honor students. What I really love is that there is a piano on the lobby that students can play.

My experience has been mostly positive. My biggest problem with the dorm is the consistent lady bug problem me and my roommate have encountered while living here. There is always a few crawling around somewhere.

Ridgecrest South is a good place to live with a good deal of personal space within the dorm with a private room and common area. It is generally pretty quiet, although living with a room overlooking the courtyards can be louder. The parking garage is also nice

Staying at Ridgecrest South was a pretty good decision overall. Very few complaints about neighbors (at least on my side of the building) and the common areas were always maintained and clean. Good sense of community and really easy to make friends nearby

It's really a great place to room at if you're a part of the HC (Honors College). I have some friends currently living in Presidential and Ridgecrest West, and even though those are good halls as well, they don't sound quite as nice as RC South.

I had a great experience living here and never had any issues. There was 24 hour staff and all of the living areas are updated and kept very clean. The RAs were always nice and accommodating and the halls were kept quiet

It is super quiet, but still lots of friendly people. It is really nice to have rooms to self with a shared living room. Very roomy and comfortable. Really not too far from other things, much better location than pres. I would definitely choose RCS again.

It’s really nice having your own room and there’s not much noise because there are less parties than other dorms. It’s still pretty accessible to the rest of campus. I’m very happy that I chose this dorm.

I love living in Ridgecrest South. It is quiet, in a great location, and has a great atmosphere. I have lived in honors housing for the last three years, and would definitely recommend it to those looking for a positive and study-friendly environment.

My experience with Ridgecrest South has been wonderful. The RA's are incredibly kind, and they're always looking out for us because they know the pandemic has been very hard to handle. As for the building, the staff always make sure the building is clean every week; you can see the staff throughout the building vacuuming and taking out the trash often. The building also includes a parking lot right below it; which makes it very convenient for those who have to drive often.
