I had a good time at Gold Hall. I loved how it was close to almost all of the dinning areas on campus. I would recommend it a friend who is going to UAB as a freshman. It was overall a good dorm and I had a good time. more

I enjoyed my time in the NFD. They were also very clean and open. They had the bigger laundry room in comparison to the other dorms. And the bathrooms are a decent size. My floor was about a 5/6 in terms of how nosey it got. My RA was very nice, and she always left nice notes and goodies on my door. The elevators didn't give us any issues either. NFD was one of the closer dorms to the cafeteria. Also I loved the fact that they offer those large rolling bins when students were moving in and out of the dorms. more

Narrow, humid, low ceilings, and overall it was an alright experience, but it’s definitely the worst of all the dorms at UAB. The common areas were decent, but the whole dorm felt unkept and forgotten about. Not only that but it’s also in a very inconvenient location compared to the other dorms. more

I had a good living experience at UPA. Coach encouraged all of my teammates to move in there. I always felt safe in UPA. I considered my teammates and my neighbors to be family. The laundromat was in walking distance. more

First time freshman here at UAB and I am here to tell you the dorms are small, but they are livable. It is a Waze walk from the campus especially if you are a science major, which I am plus I have chronic asthma, so I always have to take my meds before I begin my journey onto my classes as far as a common area very nice, the staff could be better it’s not loud well there’s not a lot of noise I believe the dorm rooms are noise proof so I wouldn’t be able to hear what’s going on next-door. We do have our own washer and dryer in the common area but this is not the best dorm rooms. There are other door of the UAB offer. They have restaurants at the bottom and other basic living things. more
