Segundo Residence Halls Dorm Reviews at UC Davis

I had a smooth experience at my dorm. All the facilities were great and the staff were also friendly. The bathroom could have been more cleaner, but overall the entire dorm was decently clean and accomodating. The study rooms were also great and the location was suitable for my classes.

I am very satisfied with my experience as everything was clean and easily accessible. The market as well as service center were in close proximity to my hall. The community areas were also very lively and were a perfect place to socialize but also study.

Segundo residence hall is central to campus and convenient for classes and the dining hall. Their dining hall is the only one that opens until midnight and serves the best late-night cookies. The walls are very thin and the building looks old.

The residence is very clean and nice. Even though there are a large amount of people in the residence hall it manages to be very clean. I am very thankful that I live in this residence hall. It is taken care of very well.

Only some of the buildings in Segundo were modern. I would stay away from Reinda circle. The buildings in Reinda circle were not up to date and seemed dingy. These buildings were the eye sore of segundo halls.

Loved my experience meet so many amazing people. The residence was always a friendly environment get way to catch up with people. Also the staff was lovely and they made sure everything was nice and clean.

Living at Segundo was pretty fun and it was the perfect location because it was by the University mall (where the Trader Joes, Starbucks, Rite Aid, and more stores are at). In addition, the food at the Segundo DC was the best!

My experience at Segundo residence hall has been nearly all positive. The only negative as of right now is that our common rooms are currently closed due to Covid-19, but, aside from that, our living environment is very calm and peaceful.

Living at Segundo has been a great experience. The staff is very nice and super helpful. It is centrally located and within walking distance of the campus, shopping, and downtown. It is a pretty modern build and would definitely recommend living here!

Segundo was one of the best residence halls at Davis. My RA was very kind and made sure that our floor was safe. The hall was just across from the dining halls and the arc center. The rooms were nice and the desks were big.

Lived on the second floor at Segundo. Loved it. I had space, the windows were huge, and the bathroom was for the most part clean. There’s only 2 washing machines per floor but if you planned your washing days, usually you’d be okay. Have fun choosing your hall!

Most dorms in Segundo are great but Campo Hall really sucks. It is the oldest, smallest, least clean, and not social whatsoever. I was unlucky enough to have to live next to some loud people and the walls are so thin you here EVERYTHING. Not to mention we literally had rats at one point. Yikes. Anywhere but here is nice just try to avoid Regan.

During my one year of living in the dorms, Segundo became home. I loved the large trees around our buildings as well as the closeness to off-campus stores. A small dorm room was no big deal when I was exploring the largest UC campus for the first time!

While living at Segundo I was able to have a multitude of amenities and also access the campus. It was a wonderful experience and is highly recommended if looking for on-campus living. The way the Segundo area is designed makes Gilmore the nicest dorm, due to how close all of the amenities are. If one can, one should request Gilmore as it is one of the best dorms.

It was nice living in Segundo, Miller Hall. It was near University Commons which was why the noise level was pretty high. Other than that, we were pretty quiet students. Missing the on-campus life experience.
