Lynx Crossing Dorm Reviews at CU-Denver

Lynx Crossing has been a pretty good first residence hall. There are a lot of living options, and it’s actually fairly private as far as things go without communal showers and such. There’s a dining option on site and one at the other residence hall, which I would say are very separate experiences. I arrived with a decent catalogue of damages, but nothing extremely severe and haven’t yet had infestation issues. However… the trains. I believe it is the location of my specific room, but the trains are awful. They will blow their horn at any time of the day, even 2 am, and it’s so loud I can feel my floor shake. It’s so, so hard to sleep. However, that’s not exactly the fault of the residents, staff, or dorm properties, just the location.

Living at Lynx Crossing has been amazing because of the vibrant community, modern amenities, and convenient location. It has also been fun due to the lively events, friendly neighbors, and engaging recreational facilities that create a vibrant and enjoyable living experience.

This is my second year at Lynx Crossing. I love how close it is to school, when I have classes it takes me 10-15 minutes to walk there. There's a train right next to the dorms as well, making it easy to get to downtown Denver. The Cyber Cafe in the dorm is great, it's nice to be able to get food if you're hungry and they offer Starbucks drinks.

Lynx Crossing is a great place to make friends, however the trains make noise all night and it is fairly far from campus. On top of that, staff can be helpful at times however there are other times where staff can be straight up rude and unhelpful.
