West Lothian Residence Hall Dorm Reviews at UC Riverside

It's a nice social environment, the only true downside is that it's one of the older dorm buildings so it's not as nice and the difference is very visible. I enjoyed my time there though, it was one of the most social dorm buildings out of all of them

West Lothian is quiet when it needs to be but also very social. The dorms aren’t as clean as they should be (stained carpets) but I don’t mind it. I don’t hate it here and I’ve lived here all year, so that should say something!

Although many prefer East Lothian because their dorms are more recently constructed, West Lo is definitely not bad. The only differences are that East Lo rooms are able to adjust their ac, have lower beds, and have better showers in their bathrooms. To explain the bed situation, West lo has beds that are about 3 feet tall, so it's recommended to bring a stool for easier access. The showers aren't too drastically different, but West lo's water is not as consistently warm, so that could be troubling at times. Also, I feel like the water pressure needed to be stronger. Furthermore, laundry is done on the basement floor, not a big issue but the location isn't the best. Last note, you must pay every time you do laundry on campus, I think about 2-3 dollars. My hallmates and RAs made the experience a lot better also.
