Thurdgood Marshall College Residence Halls Dorm Reviews at UCSD

They did not give any vacuums so the apartments got dusty. Bugs would crawl out of the drains. They were very centrally located on campus. Not great for people with bad allergies. There was no kitchen space so you are limited with cooking.

With most of the colleges at UCSD, your mileage may vary depending on how "new" of a college you're in. Marshall can be great however depending what major you are in, primarily due to location and available help. Definitely an A+ for an Econ or CIS major.

When I was attending, I still had a single room. Even so, 10 people sharing a bathroom was just manageable, if not occasionally inconvenient. However, despite the dorms being old, the dorms were very quiet thanks to thick walls and doors.

Fairly positive, the dorms were quiet, or at the very least, the doors and walls were thick enough to block out sounds. The dorms were also well-maintained, with cleaning staff coming by frequently. As long as the rooms are not over-populated, there is plenty of space to comfortably live in.

The dorms at Thurgood Marshall College in UCSD are really quiet and maintained very well by the amazing maintenance staff. However, my location at the dorms put us right next to a hidden entrance to the school that was never locked. This put our safety in danger, especially one night when someone came into out dorm from the side facing the hidden entrance and stole the things in our common area. The entrance was eventually locked all the tie after this incident. Other than that, my location at the dorms were very hidden, small, and old-looking. This made it very difficult to meet other people from different dorms since we were so far from everyone else.
