Morris Hall Dorm Reviews at UGA

The dorm was very quite, but really needs updating. It does not have the common areas that most of the other dorms do have. It is in a great location. It is close to the downtown area and the student sections of the campus.

My experience at Morris has been as good as it can be. Overall, Morris is a great dorm for first-year students. The rooms are more spacious than the typical rooms for first-years in other dorms and there is a sink in the room making morning and night routines much more convenient. The building itself is relatively clean, but it is old so there are the usual wear and tear. Communal bathrooms aren't as bad as some people make it out to be, but they definitely aren't the cleanest either. Noise level really depends on who your neighbors are in any dorm hall. For the most part, the noise level is pretty quiet but there are some days where a group of people can be a little bit too loud.

Morris Hall is at a perfect location right at North campus that boasts easy access to downtown Athens for a fun night out (or, amidst a pandemic, a quick takeout from a local restaurant) or just plain walking around to explore. Fun aside, getting right to work studying for upcoming tests and quizzes is just as easy with the Miller Learning Center less than five minutes away or even better, the Founder's Garden right across the street! The Founder's Garden is perfect for finishing up homework, picnic, or just to chill. In addition, Bolton Dining Commons is also a short walk away... although the hill makes it a tough workout. Other than the arduous walk to and from Morris, I couldn't imagine a more peaceful and convenient place to live!

Living in Morris Hall is normal where everyone is handling the own life. The staff are so helpful and caring about their residents. Making sure that all the dorms are nice, clean and up to par. Willing to live there is a great opportunity.
