It is a vibrant community and a comfortable living environment, in which we have access to different amenities like study lounges and a delicious dining hall. It provides a great opportunity to make friends and engage in social events; it is also a very convenient location.

It has easy access to central campus and UGA bus routes. It makes it a popular hall for first - years and upperclassmen. All residence halls have secure two - factor building access. WIFI and Ethernet internet access, laundry rooms, study lounges, community kitchens and access to a 24 - hour desk.

I lived at the end of the hall on the first floor, so I didnβt have many noise or insect problems. However, our bathroomβs fan made a lot of noise, especially at night so that was the worst part. Overall, I enjoyed living in this form.

It was honestly an amazing experience. There was an issue with mold in the bathroom at one point, but it seemed to be resolved rather quickly. I can see that being an issue since the buildings are older, but the community of friends you build and the exception RAs they choose made my first year experience that much more memorable, and made living in the dorms something I would recommend for every first year student.

My experience at Oglethorpe House was overall good, but my roommate and I did run into a few problems during the school year. At one point we thought we heard bats in the pipes near our wall and were informed that there had been bats in the past, though there was not much we could do about it. The location of the dorm was very convenient, since it was very close to the dining hall and was around many other residential areas. We also had a bus stop directly outside of the building which made transportation easy. Our bathrooms were cleaned every week and were shared between 4 roommates. This was an improvement from the common bathrooms we had in the past. My experience was nice overall.

I think OHouse is the best dorm option for your money. It's a 5-10 minute walk to Tate and the best dining hall is right next to it, plus you get your own bathroom that you share with your roommate and the 2 people next to you. The closets are spacious and the room is a good size (especially if you loft your bed and put your desk under it). It's also more chill than the freshman-only high rises from what I've heard, probably because there's more upperclassmen that live here. The only problem I think is that the grout in the showers is old and moldy.

I currently live on the ninth floor and I would say that I'm enjoying my experience so far. It's right next to the ding hall, so I don't to go far to get food and there's a pretty nice view in my room.
