Johnson Hall Dorm Reviews at UMHB

I spent my freshmen year in Johnson Hall, while I was also in the nursing program. It was very cozy, quiet and laid-back, perfect for me since I staid in my dorm a lot to study for nursing classes. I also loved living in the center of campus and next to the Dinning Hall, everything was really close and accessible! The staff were very sweet and understanding, I never had any problems there and even made great friends with some of them!

I loved Johnson Hall because of the community setup it had. To me, it was fun to share a bathroom and common space with 6 other girls. This helped me connect better with friends while also giving me a private space to get away (my bedroom). I still talk to some of the friends I made in Johnson Hall. It was a great community!

Since first moving in, everyone has been nice and amazing to have met. Although Johnson Hall is a community bath dorm, my experience there has been very good. A cleaning lady comes in every day to clean our restrooms which help to keep everything clean and nice. There is also a common area on the first floor that is really nice to go to study and hangout with friends.

The RAs are super nice and do a good amount of bounding between the residents, we are currently getting a new RD though but I’m sure the person who replaces esme will be just as amazing. The bathrooms are communal, but the floors aren’t cleaned that often in there. But other than that everything is clean.

The hall is not the newest or best environment, but it is well-kept and has a cozy atmosphere. I was focused on my studies, so I only cared for basic necessities and comforts, all of which Johnson provides. The staff are helpful and caring if you give them a chance to interact with you.
