Ehringhaus Hall Dorm Reviews at UNC

It was okay. The rooms are crazy small, but the fact you don't have to share a bathroom with an entire hall of people is nice. You also don't have to clean your bathroom. The only major issues with Ehringhaus are the distance to classes and the fact the lounges on most of the floors need to be updated.

There was a surprising amount of space in the rooms. It's well maintained and has had a recent reno. It's also in a great location, the farthest north of the first-year halls. It's one fo the most desired first-year halls.

Living in Ehringhaus, or popularly called Ehaus, has been a great experience. The residents are super friendly and there isn't a lot of noise. We have events in common rooms but aren't too noisy to disturb people on other floors

I lived in Ehringhaus during my Freshman year of college. If I could describe the dorm in a word, that word would be 'dull'. Cinderblock walls, cheap plastic-covered mattresses, industrial-esque bathrooms, rooms only slightly big enough to house two people and their meager belongings - Ehaus had all the dorm cliches.

Overall, I thought my experience was pretty good at Ehaus! Though the dorm could get a little loud and messy, I would attribute that to the fact that it was a freshman dorm. I would recommend this dorm to all UNC freshmen, especially if they are looking for a lively first-year experieicne! This location also requires freshmen to walk a little farther to classes, which can help with the freshman 15 :)

Ehaus is a very old dorm but for its age its in pretty good shape. the only downside to this is that you do not have central AC and when it starts getting cold your bathroom is also cold unless they turn on the heating system.

Ehringhaus Hall, like all the freshman dorms, is on South Campus, so it's a bit of a walk to campus. But the rooms are pretty nice and everything's kept pretty clean. It was nice to have a piano in the mail room.

very good and quiet no distractions, the area is overall good. Everyone is very friendly no noise totally recommend, best hall so far that I have been in with barley no distractions around the surrounding area.
