Horton Hall Dorm Reviews at UNC

It was the Honors dorm, so it was quiet but made some great friends! Really clean and I think it is one of the newest dorms! Super far from campus but walking not bad and buses are a must! Learn the bus system!

Horton Hall allowed me to share a bathroom with 3 other people instead of having to share a bathroom with more people in a hall style dorm. The location is on South Campus, which is pretty far from class.

Honors dorm, was generally quiet. In front of a party dorm, though, so can get loud. Location isn't ideal, but the Jack and Jill suites are nice. Lots of study rooms, too, so you can actually get a room to yourself.

Horton Hall is one of the newer dorms on UNC's campus and also serves as the honors dorm for the 2020-2021 school year. I have found Horton to be a nice area of residence due to its cleanliness, visual aesthetic, and environment. The lounges are beautiful and have nice windows that bring in a lot of natural light. The residents are pretty friendly and tend to keep the noise level down. The rooms are bigger than the standard size dorms on campus so that gives you a lot of space. Since Horton is an honors dorm, it is generally honors students that reside there, but I do know non-honors students that have lived there as well. Overall, I love my experience in Horton and would definitely recommend staying there if you can.
