For a first year, I would say South ridge, or the Ridges in general are a good place for your starter living space. The only real problem that I have with the dorms would be the white concrete brick walls. They are very dull and can sometimes be very depressing especially when you are feeling down due to being homesick, or just feeling down in general. Other than that though, I have found after decorating and adding color to my room, my spirits raised and everything became really homey and warm!
