Patriot Hall Dorm Reviews at UNG

I was shocked the first time I walked into Patriot Hall. It is very nice, clean, and surprisingly very quiet. It feels very safe and the location is not bad. The top floor has a really pretty view of sunsets and sunrises.

Patriot Hall houses both civilians and cadets. Because of this, you may hear the cadets doing drills and such; however, that is not much of an issue because the building sound-proofed well. Other than that, there is barely any noise. The hall is cleaned well, with minor issues such as small pieces of trash on the floor. One of the issues with the hall is that the common areas are open, which is a departure to the closed off common areas in the Commons. The Patriot common areas also seem to be a bit small. The bathrooms are very clean and are unique in the fact that Patriot hall is uniquely equipped with two showers and a toilet, as opposed to one shower and one toilet, so that is pretty nice. Patriot hall is located relatively far from the mess hall, classrooms, and town swear, so that is a bit disappointing; however, it is very manageable. In terms of security, Patriot hall, as well as the entire campus feels very secure, with campus police always nearby. I was less pleased with the maintenance, however. Upon arrival, my drawer was broken and there was obvious, albeit minor, damage to the walls, which was puzzling because UNG does monthly damage reports on their rooms, and should have fixed those issues over the summer; but, other than that, everything seemed fine. Finally, when it comes to staff, the personal of Patriot is exceptional; they are attentive, helpful, and kind, and certainly make the process of moving in, getting situated, or fixing things so much easier. Ultimately, Patriot hall is a nice college suite that I would recommend to everyone, despite its flaws, especially if you prefer the "action" and parties to be somewhere else.

Patriot Hall is a co-ed dorm for cadets. I am a civilian but was able to stay in this dorm my freshman year at UNG due to the other dorms already being at capacity. I had a good experience, the building is outdated but I enjoyed the suite style living and the common areas for studying and hanging out with friends.

I lived in patriot for 1 year as a sophomore in college. It is an amazing dorm for studying and relaxing. It is located on the top floor with the bottom three being cadets, which makes the building quiet.

It was a nice place to come back from class from. Wish it would have been closer to the academic buildings and the gym, though. Being that far away made it feel like I was further away from participating in other student events, meeting people, etc. mostly drove to go places.

I am a cadet living on the third floor, with civilian students on the fourth. The civilians are constantly stomping around and dropping things on the floor above. It can be quite stressful especially when you are trying to sleep.

It was a great dorm to live at, with the best location to the library, parking spaces, and your classes. It is bigger than the North Georgia Suites, with a better bathroom scenario, at a lower price point.
