The experience in the towers (Bender & Dancer) were great! Computer center and dining are all right there. Not a bad walk to anywhere on campus either especially the parking. Rex center was really close. Always something going on!

Itβs a good place to live but is very old, the showers only use courtains and there are many other dorms at the same price but are better. Itβs a good place for your first year but I wouldnβt come back.

Bender Hall was an A-Typical freshman dorm experience. Classes are not far from campus, but there are definitely other dorms closer to the heart of campus. I enjoyed living in Bender Hall because of the convenient connection to the Towers Center. In the Towers Center, there are many areas to study in addition to private study rooms. Rialto Dining Center is also located right below the Towers Center. And it is all connected by a skywalk, which was nice since you did not have to walk outside to get food. Bender Hall is also one of two dorms that are closest to College Street, which is a popular place on weekends. It is also at a convenient location to the Health and Wellness Center as well as a short walk to a tunnel that connects you to the UNI-Dome, McLoed Center, and Recreational Center. The Rec Room of Bender Hall was a fun place to hang out and was typically always open. Personally, I did not feel very connected to other residents on my floor besides my neighbors who I ended up becoming friends with. I wish there were more floor and hall-related activities to get students connected with each other, especially those who lived out of state and didn't go home on the weekends.

I honestly love living in Bender. It's much quieter than the other dorm halls I've been in on campus and the staff at the office are very friendly. The bathrooms leave much to be wanted in the way of comfort, but they serve their purpose and they have enough toilets and showers so that I've never had to worry about waiting for the bathroom or shower. Maintenance is a little slow to respond should you have problems with a window or sink, but of the things I've had that havent been emergencys, they respond within a day or two. My roommate and I did have to fight to get her bed fixed though and we ended up having to do that ourselves. Those things aside, the rooms comfortable and the hall connects directly to the Rialto dining center which in my opinion has the better food options. The RAs are kind and I've had very few troubles here at Bender and have already got a contract to live here for the 2021-22 school year. Overall, it's a great dorm hall.

It is very loud every night. The elevators are breaking nearly everyday with people on them every time. Not only is there an elevator problem but the fire alarms have gone off randomly many times in the middle of the night. Bender Hall is old and not holding up to the times. Common rooms are small and very dated and the smells this building holds are questionable. If you want a dorm that is loud, old and far away from every class you have on campus, this is the hall for you.

Bender Hall is more apartment style, I feel that it is harder to build a community in this building compared to the quads. The views are great from the upper floors. The showers and bathrooms were always clean. having a sink in the room is a very useful thing to have.

I love it! It's in the perfect location on campus, right next to the neighborhood so I still feel at home, and not too bad of a walk to classes. The cleaning crew is phenomenal! Bathrooms, study rooms, and hallways are constantly cleaned.

I personally lived right next to my RA and the elevator so there was some noise but nothing terrible. The bathrooms were cleaned twice a day with COVID so they made me feel safer in my environment to an extent.

I was able to live right next to my friends all year so it was very fun. The dining hall connected to Bender was amazing and we didn't have to walk outside to access it! Although the bathrooms were old, the staff kept it very clean.
