Pontchartrain Hall Dorm Reviews at UNO

My pontchartrain hall experience was very nice and quiet. I met some very nice people that help me around campus as a freshmen. The elevators didn’t always work but it was a good way to move your body.

It was a lovely opportunity to live independently. There were a few problems when it came to my dorms such as A/C, Bathroom, and small sizing. The small sizing felt like a cell and was kinda depressing.I did have a messy roommate which was not enjoyable other than that it was ok.

It was okay. Very noisy though. There was constant construction going on, and it sounded like someone was breaking things while I slept. There were bad ants when I got there as well. The rooms were nice though

It was fine. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were very clean. My roommate was very friendly and we got along swell. There is also a store in the dormitories and the staff there was great as well

The dorms were within a 5-10 minute walk to any class. The cleanliness was about what you would expect for on campus living. The walls of the dorms were thin, so if you had loud neighbors, it could get annoying. Overall it is a decent on campus living option. I personally would rather live off campus, but if you want to live on campus, it is a decent option

I worked here as an RA for a year. I would not have chosen to live here otherwise. The meal plan was contracted by the same bidder as the prison system. The administration was corrupt and there were several instances of on-campus drug use that got swept under the rug due to fraternization with students. A student was shot at the gas station across the street and the college used the technicality of him not being on campus to prevent adverse reporting metrics.

Ponchartrain hall was very nice especially with the fact that every person had their own personal bedroom. I know of many college dorms where people are sleeping in the same room with their roomate and then they have to use a shared bathroom in the hallway. That is not the case here. Everyone has their own personal bedroom and share the bathroom only with one other person
